Biden raises $25 million at New York fundraiser with Obama and Clinton | Trending Viral hub

President Joe Biden was joined Thursday by two of his Democratic predecessors for a star-studded fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall, which, according to his campaign, raised more than $25 million.

Former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton will attend the event in New York with more than 5,000 followers.

In a dramatic entrance, the three presidents took the stage on a slowly rising platform to the tune of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run.”

Actress and comedian Mindy Kaling will host the event, and late-night host Stephen Colbert will moderate a conversation with Biden, Clinton and Obama. Special guests include celebrities such as Queen Latifah, lizzoBen Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele.

Kaling joked about having Biden, Obama and Clinton in the same room, saying that when someone yells “Mr. President”, three people turn around.

Ticket prices started at $250, but the largest contributions skyrocketed to half a million dollars. Photographer Annie Leibovitz will take photos of some of the biggest donors with the three presidents.

First lady Jill Biden called the program “the fundraiser to end all fundraisers.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., also delivered remarks.

For all three presidents, the fundraiser capped a day of mobilization efforts that included attending an interview with the “SmartLess” podcast, which the White House said would be available at a later, unspecified date.
