Facebook and Instagram are down. Users do not react well | Trending Viral hub

If you’re wondering, Facebook and Instagram went down on Tuesday morning and the internet didn’t take it too kindly. As reported by Elena Cavender:

More than 500,000 users reported Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger outages to Down Detector that began around 10:08 a.m. EST. Reports increased at 10:30 am EST. Down Detector is owned by ZiffDavis, the parent company of Mashable. There are over 24,000 posts on Twitter/X about Facebook and Instagram being discontinued.

Reactions on X (formerly Twitter) range from outrage to jokes about the grim reality that we might have to “touch grass.”

Other reactions pointed to the mass exodus to X to see if the other popular sites were down. Given X’s history of dealing with traffic spikes, some are concerned that X won’t last long either.

Hopefully this won’t last all day, lest we have to interact with our friends and family (yikes!).

This is a developing story and will be updated.
