The pressure is on the Rep. Jorge Santos again after a House committee documented a long list of his alleged crimes. His days in the chamber are numbered, but that doesn’t mean he should be kicked out before he gets his day in court.
The House Ethics Committee on Thursday released its report on Santos after an eight-month investigation. The committee, headed by Reps. guest michael (R., Miss.) and Susanna Wild (D., Pennsylvania), accused the New York congressman of crimes and ethical violations related to the misuse of campaign funds. The committee sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department that could add charges to an existing federal indictment against Santos for conspiracy and fraud. The trial is scheduled for September.
