There’s something a little dystopian about a artificial intelligence tool that can say my room is a mess, but it’s too late for that.
During Microsoft Ignite Keynote On Wednesday, the tech giant announced a new “decorate your background” feature.
The novel benefit uses generative AI that takes your Teams calling experience and “dresses it up” by cleaning up the clutter and adding decoration. Based on the video microsoft As shown, the AI can create a wide variety of objects, including strings of lights, plants, and other seasonal decorations.
Additionally, a voice isolation feature is being added to Teams. According to Microsoft, the AI will recognize your voice after you sign in and will be able to completely filter out background noise so you can hear yourself in crowded environments. It’s an impressive addition and something we also saw Apple commit to during the announcement of the iPhone 15 and iOS 17.
This new Teams feature is one of many new improvements that Microsoft announced at its Ignite keynote. The company is making the most of its recently introduced Copilot AI, revealing several AI-enhanced quality of life additions, such as real-time notes and transcriptions during meetings.
The new Microsoft Teams “decorate your background” tool will roll out to Premium in 2024.
