Right-wing influencers want to rescue Elon Musk after advertiser reaction| Trending Viral hub

Apple. Disney. IBM. NBCUniversal. Sony. These are just some of the big companies who have suspended their advertising campaigns in X, the platform formerly known as Twitterin the last days.

Since then, numerous right-wing media companies and influencers have come together and pledged support Elon Muskpromising to advertise in X to make up for lost revenue from the flight of companies.

Last week, Elon Musk expressed support for an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that claims Jewish groups are replacing whites with immigrants from minority groups. Musk’s endorsement of this conspiracy about X also coincided with a Report “Media Matters for America” which showed how big brand ads appeared in pro-Nazi and pro-Hitler content. These two issues combined appear to have created a situation where many large companies felt they could no longer advertise on the platform.

On Saturday, Seth Dillon, executive director of the conservative satire website Babylon Bee, Announced that his company would spend $250,000 on advertising on X to support “freedom of speech.” Dillon’s support for Musk should not come as a surprise. The suspension of Babylon Bee on the then Twitter was one of the reasons To begin with, why Musk was interested in acquiring the social media platform.

Shortly after, YouTuber Tim Pool also fiance spend the same amount on X ads “over the next few months.”

Soon, more right-wing media figures and businesses made their own promises, though far less than the amounts Dillon and Pool pledged. Political commentator Benny Johnson, for example, pledged $50,000 in advertising spending. Other right-wing creators such as The Quartering, Donut Operator, Gavin McInnes and Elijah Schaffer pledged smaller amounts ranging from $2,500 to $40,000.

The controversial Andrew Tate, a “manosphere” influencer who has previously been accused of rape and human traffickingpromised the largest amount, saying He would give Musk $1 million a month without even running ads for his own efforts.

“I will advertise X on X, I will literally promote my own platform on this platform,” Tate wrote. “$1,000,000 a month. You don’t need other advertisers. Just let me know where to pay @elonmusk.”

It’s unclear if Tate is serious or even has the resources to basically donate $12 million a year to paying $1 million a month to X is clearly ridiculous.

At press time, a total of eight right-wing figures and media groups have pledged $1,627,500 in ad buys on X. That includes Tate’s arguably unserious offer. Additionally, most of those promises are made over the course of several months, so that amount is not monthly.

To compare with the amount X has lost due to advertiser leakage, Apple is reportedly the only one spending more than 100 million dollars per year in X ads. From a broader point of view, advertising fixed up 90 percent of the $5.1 billion that then-Twitter earned in the year before Musk took over.

Musk already voiced their gratitude for the advertising promises in a post on the recent decision of its owner. behavior.
