One of the talking points that has reportedly created friction is the Screen Actors Guild’s demand for revenue sharing.

Originally, the actors expected to receive 2% of the revenue generated by certain titles on streaming platforms, a request that the AMPTP has flatly rejected.

When the WGA finally reached an agreement with the studios on September 27The move was believed to herald progress in the SAG strike.

The union is also unhappy with the lack of compromise on its demands for increased minimum wages and protections offered regarding artificial intelligence, as producers seek to use digital doubles and facial scans in certain franchise projects.
