Sony PlayStation Pulse Elite review: The perfect PS5 wireless headset | Trending Viral hub

Sony’s own PlayStation Gaming headsets can be hit either miss. Good news! The latest version, the Pulse Elite Wireless Headphones, it’s more of the first. It costs $150, can be paired with multiple devices at once, and even comes with a wireless charging stand.

this headset predecessor was a mistake, touting 3D audio and impressive sound, but it was made of hard, flimsy plastic, didn’t support a Bluetooth connection, and, worst of all, you didn’t even need to get the full benefits of 3D audio. sony Tempest 3D Audio System Works with many other headphones.

Pulse Elite solves many of those problems. It supports Bluetooth audio, which you can use simultaneously along with connecting the PlayStation Link adapter. The headphones are more comfortable and the plastic is less flimsy; It just feels better everywhere. If that were all the Pulse Elite improved on, it would be worth the extra $50 over the previous model, but it’s the wireless charging support that clinches it for us.

Eye-catching design

The design aesthetics of the PS5 struck a chord when it first came out, and since then all of the company’s accessories have followed suit. For better or worse. These headphones are probably closer to the “better” side than, say, the PS5 camera cue. The white headband extends around the headphones, with a swish towards the front. The built-in microphone slides out of one of the pointed white tips. It’s an eye-catching design without looking completely silly.

There’s a soft fabric strap inside the headband that keeps the headphones attached without weighing you down too much on the top of your head. The soft, plush earcups wrap around your ears, helping to isolate them without putting too much pressure on the sides of your head. You can adjust each earbud up and down to find the perfect fit.

The only thing I find particularly annoying is how the earbuds are attached to the headphones. Each is held in place by a type of ball joint that can rotate freely in any direction. In theory, this helps ensure that the headphones don’t rest on your head at an odd angle, getting slightly stuck on the sides of your head. In practice, the kneecaps move a lot. There is also a slight, almost imperceptible clicking sound when the joint moves. It would be imperceptible if it were not so. right next to my ear.

This is only a problem when I move my head, but even the slightest movements produce this low but annoying clicking noise. I tend to fidget more than most, so it could be a problem just for me, but it was annoying to have this frequent, irritating noise interspersed with what would otherwise be excellent audio.

Sensitive sound

Earphone click annoyance aside, these headphones sound excellent. Pulse Elite uses planar magnetic drivers. These use a thin, flat diaphragm that is larger than the typical dynamic drivers in most headphones you’ve probably used. They are also more sensitive, allowing them to produce a more precise and accurate sound.

The result is that, when playing games like supervision 2, I found it easier to hear individual sounds that are usually blurry on other headphones. I play the character Mercy (and occasionally as Lifeweaver), and being able to hear the subtle footsteps of a Genji or Tracer, or the less subtle footsteps of a Reaper, behind me can mean the difference between life and death. With these headphones, it is a little easier to distinguish different sounds.

The Pulse Elite comes with a PlayStation Link USB dongle for a low-latency wireless connection and can also be paired simultaneously via Bluetooth. This is very useful if you want to, for example, play music from your phone while delivering packages in death stranded.
