Efforts to reach several members of the Graziano family for comment on the new video were unsuccessful Tuesday.

The shooting

The truck was disabled on the shoulder of a road in the city of Hesperia and the shooting began. A passenger later confirmed that Savannah exited the vehicle. Dicus said at the time of the incident that the girl was wearing tactical gear when she got out of the passenger side of a truck and ran toward sheriff’s deputies and that she fell to the ground amid the gunfire. Initially, the officers didn’t realize it was Savannah running toward them, she said, because she was wearing a helmet and a military-style vest.

The new video, taken from an aerial view, showed the white van reversing before moving along the shoulder of the road.

Although the video was taken from a distance, Savannah did not appear to be wearing a vest or tactical gear.

The video showed Savannah taking several steps toward a patrol car, then ducked and stopped. Next to the patrol were several agents with firearms in hand.

Seconds later, Savannah stood up and took a few more steps, then her body appears blurry in the video, marking the moment she was likely shot. The voice is then heard on the audio saying, “Oh, no,” as a flock of officers rushed toward the nearest patrol car.

The sheriff’s office also released a belt recording of the deputy closest to Savannah as he exited the truck. He is heard repeatedly shouting: “Passenger, get off! Passenger, get out! and “Come here! Come here! Come to me; Come to me!”

“Stop! Stop shooting her. She’s in the car!” the deputy shouted. “She’s okay! She’s in the car. Arrest!”

Based on that audio, it appears that Savannah was obeying the officer’s instructions to approach him when she was shot.

Officers immediately administered medical assistance and Savannah was taken to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.

His father was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Both Graziano and Savannah were hit by police bullets and died from their wounds,” an introduction to one of the videos read, according to The press-company Riverside newspaper, which obtained the video.

The California Department of Justice took over the investigation into the shooting.

The sheriff’s office did not offer any comment on the case Tuesday, citing the Justice Department investigation. The state Attorney General’s Office referred to its original statement about the case when asked for comment.
