Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he remains committed to taking action against corruption and emphasized that those involved in corruption have two options: jail or bail.

Modi, while interacting virtually with West Bengal BJP workers through NaMo app, said that the entire country has witnessed how the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has resorted to violence to stop BJP workers, but the saffron workers stood firm without fear.

The Prime Minister criticized the fight between the TMC and the Congress-Left alliance in the Bengal polls as a “shallow fight” as all the three parties are equal.

“There is a superficial conflict between the Left, the TMC and the Congress in Bengal. They are all allies. This is an alliance of corrupt people. Parties that are friends in other states, here act as enemies. Their fight is not against each other.” But against the BJP, as the BJP government is acting against their corruption. Let them do what they want as Modi will not stop taking action against corruption,” he said.

“The corrupt have united and continue to abuse Modi. These corrupt people have only two options left: jail or bail,” he said.

Referring to electoral violence, Modi said electoral violence is the biggest challenge in Bengal.

“The biggest challenge in the West Bengal elections is electoral violence, but the Election Commission has taken measures for the safety of the people. We are all also monitoring the events unfolding in West Bengal. We have to reach out to every voter’s house and encourage them. vote without fear,” he said.

Modi claimed that before every election, the TMC tries to stop BJP workers by hook or by crook.

“The country has seen how BJP karyakartas have worked despite threats. The TMC is trying to stop the BJP by resorting to violence. The country has also seen how BJP workers bravely stood in their booths. We are confident of winning more seats this time.” ” he said.

Praising the role of BJP workers in serving the people of the state, Modi said, “It is due to these sustained efforts of BJP workers that people’s faith in BJP increases with each passing day.” “It is commendable how West Bengal BJP karyakartas manage to work in a hostile environment. Our workers put themselves in harm’s way and work for the people. I am confident that this time we will win more seats than the last time.” he added.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won 18 seats, the TMC (22) and the Congress (2).

Modi also urged party workers to reach out to women voters in the state and “inform them about the central government’s initiatives which were not allowed to be implemented in West Bengal”.

“Do the people of West Bengal know how the TMC has destroyed the future of the youth and is not allowing the welfare initiatives of the central government to be implemented in Bengal? For the last 10 years, the BJP government has worked tirelessly for the people , especially by Nari. Shakti. I urge you to include all initiatives that do not reach the intended beneficiaries and make people aware of how the TMC government is creating hurdles,” he said.

The chief minister estimated the amount of money people of the state paid as bribe to get jobs at Rs 3,000 crore.

“The Education Department has seized around Rs 3,000 crore. Someone has given bribes to get jobs. If proven, I would ensure that those who have given bribes to get jobs will get their money back.

“I urge you all to tell people this,” he said.

While speaking to BJP’s Krishnanagar candidate Amrita Roy last week, Modi said he is working to ensure that nearly Rs 3,000 crore “looted” from the poor of West Bengal and allocated by the Enforcement Directorate is returned.
