Need better sound for your TV but are short on space? The Roku Streambar is adorably small but has true stereo sound. It also has a built-in Roku streaming player, so you can get one device to have better sound on both. and better control over your transmission. You are welcome. Read our Guide to the best sound bars for more recommendations.

We’re big fans of the Roku streaming interface here at WIRED, and any of the Roku streaming devices will let you add it to your existing TV. This is the slightly cheaper version of our favorite model (the Stick+) and is now on sale. We see this price often, but it’s still a good price to get a Roku 4K device. Take a look at our Guide to the best Roku devices for other options.

The Samsung HW-Q990B (8/10, WIRED recommends) is he best sound bar We have found that it emulates the classic home theater sound. It has a whopping 15 drivers, excellent audio processing, and the ability to bounce tones around the room. It also has wireless Dolby Atmos, meaning you don’t need to plug the surround speakers and subwoofer into anything but a power outlet. It’s an expensive system, but a little cheaper at the moment.

This system comes with five small speakers and a compact under-the-couch subwoofer, but is still very easy to use. The Platin Audio 5.1 (8/10, WIRED recommends) uses WiSA technology to stream and sync audio from a drive that you connect to your TV screen or projector of choice. You will need a power supply for each of the speakers, but they do not need to be connected to each other. Is tremendously simple and well pricedeven before this weekend’s sale.

55-inch Roku Plus Series Smart TV

Roku’s Plus series not only has a great image and excellent color thanks to the QLED panel, but it also has Roku’s smart TV interface built in (of which we’re big fans). It’s a great budget TV with full local dimming but a lower refresh rate, so you won’t want it for gaming. Still, it’s great as an easy upgrade for movie night without needing an additional streaming device.

Vizio TVs they are greatand we like that the M-Series Quantum8/10, WIRED recommends) has a better leg arrangement than other similarly priced TVs. It’s worth noting that last week, Walmart announced it. is acquiring Vizioso there could soon be some changes to the Vizio lineup.

Optoma UHD55 4K Ultra Projector

This is ours favorite projector. It’s bright enough for rooms that get a lot of light, the image quality is excellent, and setup is easy. It can even handle games at a 240Hz refresh rate If you plug in a gaming PC, that same refresh rate makes it ideal for streaming sports. It also works with Alexa, which is helpful. This projector is usually on sale for this price, but rarely goes any lower.

This the projector is great for movie nights both indoors and outdoors as it is completely portable; You’ll just need to make sure Wi-Fi is available in your backyard. It has a built-in speaker, a smart TV interface, and a cute little remote control. It’s easy to set up and focus thanks to the slider on the top of the projector, plus it can project a 120-inch screen at 450 lumens (so it’s only visible at night). It’s not the first time we’ve done this from this sale price, but it’s still a solid deal.
