SPOILER ALERT: Do not continue reading if you have not seen episode 10 of season 10 of “The masked singer,” “I Wanna Rock,” which aired Dec. 6 on Fox.
Ginuwine He wasn’t sure he wanted to be on “The Masked Singer” when he first got called. But the “Pony” artist finally couldn’t resist. “At first I said no, because I’m a pretty lonely guy, I don’t really like being in public like that,” he said. “I love to sing, and honestly, I saw some really cool friends of mine on the show, namely Dee Snider and Bret Michaels,” Bach said. “I have always liked big productions. I just went to the last Kiss show at Madison Square Garden. And I’ve always loved costumes, makeup, smoke and lights. ‘The Masked Singer’ is definitely a great production with a lot of staging. Before I got into the show, I thought it was more about comedy and costumes, and it is. But then when I did it, I discovered that it’s about the singing. “I was very happy to be a part of this because I love singing.”
For Husky, Nicole Scherzinger got Ginuwine right and Robin Thicke agreed. Ken Jeong named Romeo Miller. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Brian McKnight.
“I’m glad I did it,” Ginuwine said. “It was a challenge for me in terms of the costume because it was really heavy and hot. I have asthma and (the costume) made me very dry, so I couldn’t sing like I normally would without a mask. But I was able to overcome it once I put my mind to it, just focus and do it.”
As for Tiki, Nicole Scherzinger also got it right when she named Sebastian Bach. Robin Thicke went with Perry Farrell, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg named Adam Lambert and Ken Jeong went with Jon Bon Jovi.
“They let me choose, to the extent possible, the songs I was going to sing,” Bach said. “Which made me happy because I got to do Elton John, Pilot’s “Magic” and Lady Gaga. There were a couple more songs he wanted to sing, but we couldn’t clear them up in time. ‘The final countdown’ for Europe. The season’s themed episodes will include a tribute to Elton John; a “Trolls Night” tied to the November release of DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls Band Together”; a “Harry Potter Night” that airs Halloween week; “NFL Night”; “One Hit Star”; “Disk”; “The Night of the 2000s”; “I wanna Rock”; and “Soundtrack of my life.” Returning for season 10 are host Nick Cannon, along with panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke.
