SkyShowtime’s next police series “Veronica”, headed by the Swedish star Alexandra Rapaporthas revealed its full cast and an intense teaser trailer.
In the eight-part series, Rapaport plays police officer Veronika Gren and Tobias Santelmann (“Exit,” “The Arctic Convoy”) as her husband Tomas. Joining the cast are Olle Sarri (“Quick Cash,” “Together 99”) as Tommy, Isac Calmroth (“All that Remains,” “Evil”) as Alexander and Arvin Kananian (“Hålla Samman,” “Triangle of Tristeza”) like Nassir. Sarah Rhodin (“Mirakel”), Wilma Lidén (“Karusell”) and Eddie Eriksson Dominguez (“Diorama”) will also appear.
“Set in a small town, police officer Veronika Gren (Rapaport), a mother of two, struggles with her complicated family life and a secret addiction to pills,” the series’ official description reads. “When strange things start happening and a deceased child appears before her, Veronika believes she has lost her mind. Reluctantly, Veronika is forced to accept that the child may not be an illusion. Soon Veronika finds herself in a murder investigation that goes deeper than anyone in town would like to believe, when she learns of the murder of two teenagers. She must uncover the truth and find the connection between the cases to prevent the killer from striking again. But will anyone believe him?
“Veronika” is created and written by Katja Juras and Anna Lindblom (“Gåsmamman”) and directed by Jonas Alexander Arnby (“The War of the Worlds”). Rapaport serves as executive producer alongside producers Calle Jansson and Mathias Gruffman on Bigster.
